In 2011 CDC Buckles changed their name to Custom Pins and Buckles (CPB). Due to the name change, everything needed to be created new. After thoroughly collaborating with the client, we provided a new custom logo and an all new website header graphic.
The next step was to design a complete website that included an e-commerce solution to allow site visitors to purchase pre-made items as well as custom order buckles and lapel pins. Due to the nature of how custom products are ordered, we decided on a budget solution, which necessitated completion by a customer service representative for proper product customization.
In 2014, we changed the website platform to provide a better look. The new platform also allowed the client to add, update and change text content and products directly. Previously any changes or additions had to be submitted to PC Creative Designs and was subject to be placed in a queue before being pushed live. The new solution allows the client to make the changes instantly, while we provide the technical support.
In 2016, the client requested a new logo, in a simplified style that better represented the company. Once we finished the design, the client was extremely pleased with the end result, which is an oval (representing belt buckles) a circle inside (representing lapel pins) and two fonts with the company name. The red and blue colors chosen for the logo represent the American heritage of the company. The logo was designed in different variations, including: horizontal (mostly for website use), stacked (for stationary and apparel), and versions that are all white, and all black for other uses. The logo is also placed on the back of most custom items as an insignia.
With the new logo approved, we created banners for use at trade shows and other events. We designed two custom retractable banners that display additional details about the company’s product line, in addition to a ten foot by four foot (10’x4’) banner with the company’s information and visual product display which can be seen from afar.
An additional service we offer is research and sourcing of promotional products. We have found the need to expand the vendor list, as well as offering more products per customer demand.
CPB had numerous customers requesting promotional items, such as: ball point pens, stress balls, mugs and tumblers, flash lights and custom made bottle openers shaped like a key. PCCD not only created the design of these bottle openers, but we also found a manufacturer that could produce a high quality product for CPB.
Another new item we assisted with the design and sourcing of, was a custom Fidget Spinner (pictured left), which was a huge hit at the 2017 Convention.
New Web Design:
We are currently working on a new and improved e-commerce site for CPB. Since web design is evolving constantly, we encouraged CPB to update to a new platform which includes many requested features, including much easier product and report management, as well as a better credit card processing function for a better user experience during checkout.
We continue to provide services to CPB as their webmaster and to satisfy their design needs as well.
